Hangzhou — the capital of the Wuyue Kingdom more than a thousand years ago. The wise policy of «protecting the borders and bringing peace to the people» made this kingdom strong and prosperous. The Wuyue Kingdom, ruled by three generations and five kings from the Qian family, lasted nearly a hundred years and left a rich legacy in economy, art, and culture, laying the foundation for Hangzhou’s prosperity for over a thousand years.
