Irina Mikhnova

Ms. Irina Mikhnova is a vice-president and a chair of the Young Adults Library Services Section of the Russian Library Association, a member of the Russian Union of Journalists, Ph.D. in education. She used to be a chair and judge of various professional contests and a member of the Expert Council on Library and Information Publications. Ms. Mikhnova is a founder and first executive of the Interregional Business Libraries Accosiation (Russia, 1997 — 2006); a founder of the Library Marketing School in Russia. She is in charge of some major internet projects, in particular, the National Information and Reference Portal LIBRARY.RU. Ms. Mikhnova is an author of several books on librarianship issues and has more than 230 publications in Russian and foreign professional journals.
