Truman Capote’s work 'The Grass Harp' is a story told from the perspective of the narrator, Collin Fenwick, who is an orphan. Collin is forced to go and live with his father’s cousin after his mother dies and his father pursues self-destructive behavior while grieving for his wife. As the story begins, Collin is only eleven years old, living with both Verena and Dolly, who he adores. Collin doesn’t believe Verena is approachable and is thereby turned off by her; she is a businesswoman. The relationship between Collin, Catherine, and Dolly thrives, much to Verena’s jealousy and distaste. Verena’s intrusion into Dolly’s affairs sends the latter to take up residence in a tree house. In this new residence, Collin, Dolly, and the others learn life lessons about love and emotional bond. Breakfast at Tiffany’s is a popular work by noted author Truman Capote. The main character in the story is Holly Golightly, a young woman who has transformed herself from country girl to city girl. Holly supports herself by cavorting with older, wealthier men. She is hopeful that she will one day receive a proposal from one of her many gentleman patrons. Capote likens her to a geisha rather than a common prostitute. One day, Holly meets Fred. As it turns out, the two of them live in the same building. Capote writes about their relationship as the main plot of his novella. The story is widely known from the popular movie starring Audrey Hepburn as the iconic Holly.
